My knitting friend Grace gave me a book for Christmas called “The Knitter’s Life List” by Gwen W. Steege.
This book is a fun read and you can learn a lot a long the way. In fact, if it were not for this book I would have continued to knit uneven (twisted) stitches when making the simple stocking stitch pattern. It was not something that anybody really noticed, nor did I, till I knit a top down cardigan. The top of the cardigan was knit in the round and the rest was regular knitting so it wasn’t apparent till finished. I noticed there was a distinct but subtle difference on the two styles of knitting. I had been trying to figure it out for a very long time till this book set me straight, yay! The info is on page 67, check it out!!! The book that she is referring to is called Confessions of a Knitting Heretic by Annie Modesitt. I ordered this book on Amazon and should be here by the new year.
I wish everyone a most wonderfuly creative and happy New Year!
