Free knit pattern (Trio Lace Scarfett)

I have been playing around with yarn and needles again……and came up with the Trio Lace Scarfett pattern and thought you might enjoy it as well!   This is a nice first lace project.

Trio Lace Scarfett

I used less than 1 skein of worsted weight yarn and size 6 or 7 knitting needles for gauge: 4 stitches per inch.

abbreviations: k = knit     tog = knit 2 together    ssk = slip, slip, knit these 2 stitches together      [ ] work instructions as many times as directed

Cast on 31 stitches

Row 1 – knit across

Row 2 – (RS) – *k2, ssk [k1, yo] twice, k1, k2 tog, k1; rep from* k1.

Row 3 – Purl

Repeat rows 2 & 3  for pattern.  Knit for 22-28 inches depending on how long you want it to be. Knit 4 more rows (garter stitch) Bind off.

Add 3 buttons 1/2 ” from beginning row.  Button to the other end where the lace holes are or if you make it long enough you can just wrap the scarf around your neck and not use the buttons if you want.

Enjoy!  Happy knitting 🙂
