Day Five: 1st April. And now for something completely different 

Experimental blogging day to try and push your creativity in blogging to the same level that you perhaps push your creativity in the items you create.

 Day 5: I love to paint……no, not the paint on the wall painting, (though that’s not so bad either) but on canvas, wood, gourds, etc.  So recently I bought a kit at the bookstore on learning how to make Chinese brush paintings.  Who would have  though that you could buy something like that at a bookstore?  Anyways, it came with special brushes, paints, a pallet for mixing paints on and instruction book.  I’m generally pretty good with instruction books.  I’ll let you know how it goes when I start using the kit.  Maybe I could incorporate the painting on to my knitting in some way….it’s not the first time!  You’ve heard of hand painted yarns, right?  

The kit

I have an embroidery machine and wanted to add it to my knitting projects some how.  I make knit cup cozies for coffee cups to use at your favorite coffee-house.  So after some thought I came up with the idea to embroider words like cappuccino, latte, mom, names, etc to the front of the cozies.  I sell these at my Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/trimitup. These are fun to make, & eco-friendly.
