Day 30 of {31} Days of Cup Cozies Challenge – Harvest Owl
What a cute festive owl! He’s surrounded by pumpkins, gourds, wheat, and colorful foliage. Hand knitted with green yarn.
You could call my cozies…….. cup sweater sleeves, but I’m not sure people would get it.
For your information!
Owls are a group of birds that belong to the order Strigiformes, constituting 200 extant bird of prey species. Most are solitary and nocturnal, with some exceptions (e.g., the Northern Hawk Owl). Owls hunt mostly small mammals, insects, and other birds, although a few species specialize in hunting fish. They are found in all regions of the Earth except Antarctica, most of Greenland and some remote islands. Though owls are typically solitary, the literarycollective noun for a group of owls is a parliament. Owls are characterized by their small beaks and wide faces, and are divided into two families: thetypical owls, Strigidae; and the barn-owls, Tytonidae.
Just beautiful!
Tomorrow is the last day of the 31 Days of Cup Cozy challenge, and I will be giving tomorrow’s cup cozy away to one of you!! Can hardly wait to start some new projects that are not cozies, Ha, ha! Every now and then I become a monogamous knitter again, I’m getting better though and not getting the sweats if I have more than one project going at one time on needles.
Happy knitting : )
